Love For Your Heart: February 2023 Newsletter

February – the month of love and heart health! With our love, we offer you some great information on nutrition for a healthy heart, specials from Direct Labs for important heart health tests, and an opportunity for you to show some love to the Museum of North Idaho!

Designs for Health Introduces HistaGest-DAO™ for Food-Derived Histamine Metabolism

Designs for Health has just introduced a new digestive support formula, HistaGest-DAO™. It provides exogenous DAO to help support normal histamine metabolism and comes in a convenient, on-the-go dispenser. This new product was designed to help promote the breakdown of food-derived histamines and diamine oxidase (DAO) status in the gastrointestinal tract. If you are interested please let us know.

Direct Labs February Heart Blood Test Specials

Being February, Direct Labs has some excellent specials on heart health related tests. These include the Lipid Panel, C-Reactive Protein, Hemoglobin A1C, and Homocysteine in various combinations. If you really want to know about your cardiac health and risk these are the tests we recommend. While the lipid panel provides cholesterol and triglycerides, c-reactive protein and homocysteine are inflammation markers, and HA1C provides a three month snap shot of blood glucose levels.

To check out the specials and order your test go to Direct Labs February Specials.

Please Help Support the Museum of North Idaho

For the past year I have had the great fortune to be a part of the 2022 Leadership Coeur d’Alene group sponsored by the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber of Commerce. In addition, last April I was named to the Board of Directors for the Museum of North Idaho.

As our year in the Leadership program comes to an end our class project has been selected as Show Your Love for MONI – a fundraiser to support the Museum of North Idaho (MONI).

For those who may not be familiar with it, MONI illuminates our community’s rich history through amazing exhibitions, programs, and events. In order to support MONI’s growing needs, a new facility is being constructed to expand space and showcase brand new exhibits. Each exhibit will represent the culture and history of the Coeur d’Alene Region to the residents, both new and old, as well as tourists.

For our clients in Wisconsin, please consider a donation using this link: I LOVE MONI

For our clients here in Idaho, the event will be held at the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber building (105 N 1st Street, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814) on Saturday, February 11th 2023 from 3:00pm – 7:00pm to benefit MONI’s new facility. During the event, we will have (FREE) light bites, chocolates, and an array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. We will also be holding a silent auction and accepting donations.

This event is held in conjunction with the Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association’s Chocolate Affair event.  If you are already attending the Chocolate Affair, please swing by the Chamber! You can also attend our event without registering or participating in the Chocolate Affair. JUB’s CCC will be donating a basket, as well as a monetary donation.

If you would like to donate, but are unable to attend, you can also use this link: I LOVE MONI

(The Museum of North Idaho is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, so your donation is tax-deductible. Tax ID: 23-7161777.) Thank you in advance for your support and helping the Museum to continue to preserve and illuminate the past while inspiring our community’s future.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or wish to donate.
